ABOUT MICHAEL
Michael Rose writes spy thrillers that win new readers year after year. He is the former Chief of Communications for Interpol and a former journalist, broadcaster and foreign correspondent. He draws on his years of experience in exotic locations around the world for his gripping stories and characters.
Michael’s latest book is a satire about Interpol, a big departure for him from his usual thriller genre.
He also a media trainer and corporate communications consultant.
He has worked for major media organizations around the world such as the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Maclean’s Magazine, UPI, Radio France International, Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald and the Reuters news agency in London.
Aside from his senior communications role at Interpol, he was once Director of Research and Communications at the Australian Press Council, and Media Manager at Amnesty International Australia.
Michael now divides his time between Sydney, Australia and his village house in Provence, France.

Journalism has given me a great deal over the years, a rich variety of experience that launched my career as a writer. I feel that when I can give something back to the profession and to those who work as journalists in dangerous or difficult circumstances, then it is my duty, and my privilege, to do so.
Michael Rose has developed a strong reputation as a trainer of reporters, particularly in the developing world.
Those training workshops were organized for various non-government organizations like the Reuters Foundation, Conciliation Resources and Internews.
Rose has also carried out media training and communications consultancy work for senior officials in organizations like the New South Wales Refugee Review Tribunal and the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission.
He is also developing a select list of private clients in the corporate sector for communications advisory services, strategic planning, crisis management and speechwriting.
